On October 18, 2026, the Department of Economics at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University organized a team-building and outreach activity for freshmen majoring in Economics. The event aimed to help Chinese and international students get to know one another and to develop their teamwork skills. The whole activity had a warm and harmonious atmosphere, with all the freshmen gathered together. This team-building event also provided the students with their first opportunity to meet their classmates up close, familiarize themselves with the campus, and experience a sense of belonging to the university community.

The activity featured several team challenge tasks. In the first task, each group delivered a presentation: members came up with a team name, slogan, and team logo that reflected the team's core philosophy and characteristics. This segment fully stimulated the students' creativity and helped everyone quickly break the ice and enhance communication.

The second segment was a campus orientation checkpoint task: each team had to follow clue-based hints to find eight landmark locations on campus and take a team photo at each one. This task tested the students' observation skills, teamwork, and ability to make quick decisions.

The final challenge was a paper tower-building competition. Each participating team competed in ingenuity and attention to detail, and the completed paper towers were judged on two dimensions: stability and height.

Throughout the activity, senior undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty members from the Department of Economics provided assistance to the freshmen. After the event, all participating students received gifts, and the competition winners also received special commemorative prizes featuring the 85th-anniversary logo of the Faculty of Economics at Moscow State University (this year marks the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Economics at MSU).The organizers stated that this team-building activity is an important part of helping freshmen adapt to campus life. The event promoted cross-cultural exchange, honed students' communication skills, and created a positive atmosphere for their subsequent academic and campus life.
